Set in 30 acres / 12 hectares of glorious green parkland, Forsyth Park is a historic plot that features a magnificent fountain that once belonged to France until the US bought it from them in 1851. This park has simple amenities and is the perfect place to take a stroll, have a picnic or play an hour or two of outdoor sport.

Fort McAllister State Historic Park in Savannah is situated on the south bank of the Great Ogeechee River and is accredited with being the best preserved Confederate earthwork fortification to survive the American Civil War. Visitors to the park will enjoy its ambiance, which is a pleasant mix of history and nature, combining the likes of the Civil War Museum with facilities for hiking, camping, fishing and picnicking.

Skidaway Island State is a pleasant spot to head for a little relaxation. Visitors to the park will find picnic and camping grounds as well as an interpretive center and a museum detailing the history of the park and its surrounding areas.

Savannah's Wormsloe Historic Site is a colonial estate that was built during the 18th century by Noble Jones, one of Georgia's first settlers. Visitors to the area can tour the property and view artifacts and a movie that traces the founding of the 13th colony. A nature trail can also be followed, taking visitors to the estate's living history area.
