On a tour of Savannah, visitors get to see all the best and most popular attractions in the historic district, while also enjoying a ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage. There are a variety of tours available including ghost story tours for those who feel like getting spooked and romantic rides for couples. All tours last about an hour and have commentary provided.

Old Town Trolley Tours

Old Town Trolley Tours leave from a range of locations around Savannah and give visitors the chance to take in many of the city's most famous attractions. Tours with running commentary make 16 stops in total and visitors can alight for a spot of shopping or lunch before re-boarding another car at their leisure.

Flannery O'Connor House

Savannah's Flannery O'Connor House was the childhood home of renowned author Mary Flannery O'Connor, who penned famous works such as the novel 'Wise Blood' and the short story collections 'Everything That Rises Must Converge' and 'A Good Man is Hard to Find' among other stories. Now the three-story building is an interesting visitor center offering original and restored rooms as well as other attractions, such as photographs and related memorabilia.

Historic Railroad Shops

Deemed worthy as a National Historic Landmark, Savannah's Historic Railroad is America's oldest standing railroad repair and manufacturing facility. The construction of the facility began back in 1845 and to this day 13 of the original structures are still intact. Visitors will find rail-related exhibits at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum, with sights such as locomotives, steam engines and belt-driven machinery.
